Memberpress is a great way to create a membership site on your WordPress website. Recommended for the tech-savvy who are able to edit their own website content (or those who are outsourcing the creation of their membership site).

ActiveCampaign is a really robust and affordable system that is also relatively simply to use. It’s what I use in my own business. I especially love the automation features.

Ontraport is for the scaling entrepreneur who needs lots of all-in-one features. Build beautiful pages, forms and emails, manage checkouts and utilize as a CRM.

Mailerlite is a great solution for the beginner entrepreneur who is on a shoestring budget and just getting started with email marketing. Create your account for free. 


You know you’ve got a keeper web host when you can set-it-and-forget-it. I have zero complaints with Stablehost’s service, and their great hosting rates.

I’m a hardcore Google fan in life and business. Manage your custom domain business inbox with ease with Google’s GSuite and take advantage of Google Drive plentiful storage.

Having tried a few different bookkeeping systems, Quickbooks Self-Employed is the one I feel happiest using. This version provides a happy medium between ease-of-use, while also provided detailed analytics. 

I’m not sure how I would survive without Trello. I manage everything from my weekly to-do list, to project plans and client communication in this awesome productivity tool. Best of all? It’s free!

I LOVE Dubsado for client management. This tool lets you manage leads, invoices and contracts, and set up workflows that automate parts of your sales, onboarding and delivery process.

I’ve tried several video/audio conferencing tools over the years, and Zoom is by far the most consistent and easy to use. You’ll find me hosting everything from coffee chats, client calls and webinars all through Zoom!

Acuity Scheduling makes it so easy for people to book calls with you. I love how much control I have over my calendar availability for different call types. You can also use this tool to charge for calls, memberships and group classes!


Raising Your Business by Boss-Mom Dana Malstaff is a high-level online business course that has training videos on almost everything you can imagine. The program includes an amazing workbook that helps you plan all aspects of your business.

Emily D. Baker is a friend and my go-to person for all things legal-ish. Check out her awesome website bundle for U.S. based entrepreneurs, and protect yourself with terms of use and privacy policy contracts.

For those just getting started in the online service-provider space, Micala Quinn is the perfect person to help you get your freelance career started. Her course, The Live Free Mama, has EVERYTHING you need to start your freelancing career.
